I chose to pursue game development because of my desire to create fun and impactful experiences for people of all ages. I believe that video games can improve people’s lives, and my work is centered around creating a positive and productive work environment for developers and designers.
I’m currently working as a digital producer in Los Angeles on augmented reality experiences. I’ve had a variety of different jobs and experiences before moving to LA, including:
Earned my Master's degree in Entertainment Arts and Engineering with a focus in production from the University of Utah
Previous CEO of Boxcastle games, a small games studio of 16 graduate students based in Salt Lake City
Worked briefly as a sound intern at Wargaming seattle prior to their closure
Pediatric mental health specialist at Seattle Children's Hospital
Cabin Counselor for 5 summers at YMCA Camp Orkila in Eastsound, WA
When I’m not producing games or coming up with new ways to motivate my teams, I enjoy playing in several D&D campaigns, making playlists on Spotify, exploring the outdoors, and grinding for platinum trophies in various RPGs. I’ve also founded wellness slack channels at both my current place of employment and my graduate program, encouraging my peers and coworkers to hold each other accountable in building healthier habits (even if it’s deskercise).
